Money

AI won't make you rich. But it will translate confusing financial documents, help you ask the right questions, and stress-test plans before you commit real dollars.

Decode confusing documents

Translate any financial document

Here's a [credit card statement / insurance EOB / 401(k) doc / loan offer / property tax notice / brokerage statement]:

[paste]

Tell me in plain English:
1. What is this actually saying?
2. What, if anything, do I need to do or decide?
3. Any fee, rate, or term I should ask about?
4. What's the worst thing that could happen if I ignore this?

Compare these two offers. Don't tell me what to pick — tell me how to compare them.

Offer A: [paste or describe]
Offer B: [paste or describe]

My situation: [what you'll use it for, how long, your priorities].

Give me:
1. The 3 numbers that actually matter (and why)
2. The 2 sneaky fine-print clauses to check on each
3. The questions I should be asking the salesperson

What I'd do instead with that money: [savings? a different purchase?]

Prep for tax season

Use when: before meeting your CPA or filing

Help me get organized for taxes. Here's our situation:

- Filing status: [single, married filing jointly, etc.]
- Sources of income: [W-2, 1099, side hustle, dividends, rental, etc.]
- Big life events this year: [moved, had a kid, started a business, sold a home, etc.]
- States: [where you lived/worked]

Give me:
1. The documents I should be gathering right now
2. Common deductions/credits I might be missing for our situation
3. The 3 questions I should ask my CPA / tax software

The "I need to ask but feel dumb" zone

Try this prompt

Ask the dumb question safely

Use when: anytime you don't want to ask a human and feel judged

Explain [Roth IRA / HSA / amortization / capital gains / index fund / etc.] like I missed the class where they taught this.

- Start with what it is, in one sentence.
- Then: when would I actually use one? Give a real-life example.
- Finally: what's the most common mistake people make with it?

Don't assume I know any other finance terms — define them when you use them.
